Avinco arranges lease placement of three A340s to Aerolineas

ICON selected Monaco based aircraft trading and remarketing specialists Avinco to assist with the deal structuring and delivery of these aircraft to Aerolineas.

The aircraft were most recently operated by Cathay Pacific Airways, Hong Kong and will now be leased to Aerolineas for 6 years.

The first aircraft, MSN 123, was delivered in late December, MSN126 was delivered this month and the third aircraft (MSN128) is due to be delivered in the coming weeks.
Craig Jackson, ICON SVP commented: “ICON began the process of locating a secondary operator for these aircraft over eighteen months ago and we are pleased to add Aerolineas to our portfolio of customers.”
Francois Gautier, Avinco CEO, said “We are delighted to have assisted with the placement of these aircraft with Aerolineas as these A340s fit their fleet requirements extremely well. Despite the delays in the replacement widebody programmes we have noticed a marked deterioration in demand for widebody lift over the past few months. This deal proves once again that Avinco is well positioned to place widebodies in a tough environment.”
